Position Summary
A Scan Operator receives sets of document originals prepared by the document prep clerks to be reproduced as hard or soft copies. Saves soft copies on computer storage media in order to be more efficiently accessed by the document imaging company’s clients.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyzes documents in order to produce the appropriate shades and best resolution in scanned reproductions
  • Inputs appropriate settings onto scanner computer screen by manipulating a mouse or typing from a keyboard
  • Scans documents to reproduce as hard copies to be shipped, or as soft copies to be stored on CDs or secure server for future retrieval by clientsReorganizes original documents to be re-filed at conclusion of job

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent degree (GED)
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to select best image resolution and shading, based on quality of each individual document
  • Familiarity with Kofax Ascent Software scanning software
  • Experienced in using Bell + Howell Scanners
  • Data-entry experience and light typing skills
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbally and in writing)
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality

Scanning/Index Specialist

Shifts:
1st Shift: 5am to 1:30pm
2nd Shift: 1:30pm to 10pm
(Flex schedule available)

Position Summary

  • Excellent Indexer/Data Entry
  • Scan Documents
  • Document Prep
  • Enter required data fields pertaining to all document types
  • Perform Quality Assurance for the data that has been captured
  • Perform Quality Control Activities, Data Normalization Activities and Data Preparation
  • Maintain time and production records
  • Ability to follow processes
  • Work well in a Team environment

Requirements

Technical Skills
Computer skills, working knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.
Lite scripting will be required and knowledge of these concepts and/or ability to learn scripting concepts and language is required.

Physical Demands
In this position, you are regularly required to sit, stand and walk. Must be able to lift and move boxes of documents weighing from 10 to 25 pounds.

Document Prep Clerk

Position Summary

This position will perform the task of Prepping Documents from various customers for Scanning and Imaging.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare documents received from clients for scanning by performing the following tasks:

  • Able to lift heavy file boxes (up to 50 pounds)
  • Remove staples, paper clips, and fasteners
  • Place “post its” or other small items or notes on separate sheets of paper
  • Straighten folded corners and repair torn edges
  • Recognize type of documents to be scanned (the required “core” documents) versus those documents that do not require scanning
  • Insert file header sheets and document separator sheets

This is a high-volume, fast-paced position that requires someone who can work quickly while maintaining quality of work.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Some general office administrative and some computer experience preferred
  • Data-entry experience and light typing skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally in English
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality
