Document Prep/Scan clerk/Specialist (Des Planes, IL) 

We are looking for responsible people who can work Monday to Friday from 5am to 1:30pm or 1:30pm to 10:00pm, This job may be temporary (3 to 6 months) but also full time. Positions available to start ASAP. Please send us your resume ONLY if you are interested.

Position Summary
We are looking for a multi-tasked individual who has the interest in assisting with the conversions of paper documents to electronic files.

Essential Requirements and Responsibilities:
Prep clerks must be able to prepare documents to be scanned by removing staples, paper clips and remove any binding objects as well as straightening folded corners, repairing torn edges, have the ability to sort and identify various document types and affixing post-it notes or small pieces of paper to larger blank paper all done as accurately and efficiently as possible.

Scan Operators will adjust/check scanner settings to make sure they are utilizing the correct settings per project. Operator will then insert the documents into a high speed scanner, analyzing the documents in order to produce the appropriate shades and best resolution in scanned reproductions. Scan operator also to perform a full quality control check of scanned documents.

Some data entry skills required:

  • Able to lift 20-30 pounds (standard box)
  • Available to travel and work on-site projects
  • High school or equivalent degree (GED)
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Kofax Ascent Software is a plus but not required
  • Experienced in using Bell + Howell scanners is a plus but not required
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbally and in writing)
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality
